Welcome to the Office of the Lobbyist Registrar for Manitoba Website!
The Lobbyists Registration Act came into force on April 30th, 2012.
Lobbying, when conducted ethically, is a legitimate and legal activity and is part of the democratic process. It is an important matter of public interest to be able to know who is attempting to influence government and the details of the lobbying. The purpose of the registry is to provide transparency about lobbying in Manitoba. In accordance with the requirements of the Act, lobbyists must file returns on their lobbying activity. There is no fee to file. As the Lobbyists Registry is an online system, lobbyists can file at any time and the public can search at any time. |
